In November 2017, the first Latin American course on “Breeding, Reproduction and Management of zebrafish facilities” will be held in Santiago, Chile.

The Danio Biotechnologies team, together with the Genome Regulation Center and the University of Chile, under the auspices of Skretting and Animal Care, have organized the first Latin American course on “Breeding, Reproduction and Management of zebrafish facilities”. The course will be held in the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Chile*. This theoretical and practical 3 to 5 day course will be attended by several speakers with extensive experience in breeding and research with the zebrafish model, who will offer the participants lectures on various topics that will aim to introduce the assistants in the basic aspects of zebrafish biology and the most relevant factors for the implementation, management and maintenance of a zebrafish facility for research and / or education purposes, with particular emphasis on key practices affecting reproduction, animal welfare and management of multiple genetic strains.
